The Growth Indicator is the only detailed point based dataset at erf level with complete coverage of major metros.

This dataset is updated annually and is ideal for identifying growth patterns and trends, as well as supporting population studies, retail location planning, marketing and advertising.

 New 5m clutter data available for metros!

The 5m Clutter developed for telecommunication planning is the most up-to date urban clutter available in the country. This dataset was created using 2004 imagery.
 GAUTENG crop estimates - pilot study completed!

GTI is part of the National Crop Statistics Consortuim (NCSC) who is contracted to gather information on crop production. A pilot project was recently completed for past summer grain season to gather statistics on planted area for the Gauteng province. Field boundaries for all fields were digitised from Landsat satellite imagery to define the area of summer grain cropping in the province. The field boundaries were as used a base for crop type classifications and combined with a statistical survey to determine the total area planted for each summer grain crop in the province.
