GTI is pleased to announce that Ms Adeline Ngie, who is completing her MSc in Environmental Management at the University of Johannesburg, has been awarded one of the two bursaries sponsorsed by GTI in 2011. Her dissertation topic includes using GIS and RS for flood hazard assessment of Diepsloot, as part of a larger GCRO study of vulnerability and resilience in the Johannesburg area. GTI makes available two study bursaries annually, which can be considered as non-exclusive, top-up bursaries for students studying geo-spatial technologies. The awarding of the 2nd bursary for 2011 will be made before end of December 2011.
